I’m thrilled to talk about my experience working for Glen & Effie. TODAY IS THE DAY! And I’m so excited to share this experience with you.
Back in September of 2018, my professor brought in a Belmont University alum, Brooke Griffith, to talk about her experience post-graduation. She shared about her time at Belmont and how certain experiences during college led her to start her own company creating jewelry from vintage pieces. I was so inspired by her; I couldn’t wait to reach out to her when she mentioned an open internship position. I had a gut feeling that I should just apply–I was curious where this might lead me. I’m so thankful I did. I was hired, along with a couple other people for the season. We experienced some awesome events together and shared a lot of fun time working in the studio. At the end of the season, I was asked to stay on as photographer/occasional studio help. Of course, I was incredibly grateful and took the opportunity. A few weeks later Brooke called me in to the studio to take a few inventory photos. When I arrived, she shared with me that she received the chance to have a small ad in British Vogue. Then, she told me she wanted to give me the opportunity to take the photo so that I could say that I have a photograph published in the March edition of British Vogue.
Words cannot adequately express my gratitude. Brooke is so kind and uplifting. I am incredibly honored to work for someone as cool as her, and of course her adorable studio manager, Mr. Bo.
